In the course of our business, we book our clients into all types of accommodation from deluxe, five star resorts to small homely inns. In this activity, we from time to time come across places which we find particularly appealing and believe our clients would also. In selecting our favorite places we have no hard and fast rating system but rely on our own judgment and comments from our clients. We have a strong bias towards atmosphere and the place to stay is a good reason to go to a particular location. We therefore lean towards castles, chateaux and manor house or town house style properties. While the accommodation does not have to have five stars, it must offer a high level of guest service, have a noteworthy restaurant and be located either on attractive grounds or in a special location. A few of our listed favorite places are just that places and not a specific place to stay. These are generally places of exceptional interest or appeal with a range of outstanding accommodations, which we can equally recommend.
